Susan Musich, M. Ed., GCDF
Executive Director & Founder
Susan is the Executive Director & Founder of Passport Career and has 20 years of experience as an international career counselor, personally coaching over 10.000 individuals from more than 180 different countries. She has worked with organizations such as Accenture, The World Bank/IFC, the United Nations, the U.S. State Department, and the U.S. Peace Corps, and Save the Children. In her spare time, she speaks at international conferences and writes books on career planning.
Among many things, Susan specializes in cross-border career strategies and is an expert on topics related to global careers for all skill levels, ranging from college students, MBAs, and Gen-Y to mid-career professionals and executives. She is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), trained extensively as an international career coach, and is officially designated as a Global Mobility Specialist (GMS).Susan is a U.S. national but has lived in Mexico, the Philippines, and Costa Rica, and traveled to over 25 countries for work and research. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Northern Arizona University and her master’s degree in Education/Counseling and Development at George Mason University.

Lucia Kolaja Bordean
Corporate Relations Manager
Lucia joined Passport Career in 2009, and since then has played an crucial role in the success of the company. Prior to joining the team, she worked at Dell in Bratislava, Slovakia, Accenture in Bratislava, and the U.S. Peace Corps. She is an International Business Graduate from the Economic University in Bratislava, Slovakia, and currently lives in the U.S. with her husband and two children.
Lucia is ambitious not only when it comes to her career but also in her personal life. A few years ago she completed a one year, 15.000-kilometer bicycle trip from Brazil to Canada. Lucia has lived and worked in several European countries, the United States, several Central Asian countries, and Zambia. While living in Ukraine and Turkmenistan, she worked on various professional and informal short-term projects within expat communities. She speaks Slovak, Czech, English, German, Russian, and Spanish, and has a basic understanding of Hungarian.

Marissa Walker
Social and Digital Media Coordinator
Marissa joined the team in May of 2017. She currently resides in Wiesbaden, Germany. Marissa received her Master of Arts in Museum Studies from The George Washington University. She gained her marketing experience with the Baltimore-based startup digital marketing company Zest Social Media Solutions. After graduating from Goucher College with a degree in Dance and English in 2009, Marissa joined the Cincinnati Circus Company. She continues to teach and perform Circus Arts in Germany. Most recently, Marissa completed a contract with the Smithsonian Institution, providing curatorial assistance for the 2017 Smithsonian Folklife Festival's Circus Arts program.
Marissa's wide variety of professional skills include, but are not limited to: making balloon animals, teaching flying trapeze, personal training, teaching ballet, technical writing, museum exhibition design, graphic design, academic research, and fire eating.

Julie Mendez
Passport Career Trainer and Career Coach
As a Career Coach and Certified Job Search Specialist with JSM Career Coaching, Julie encourages job seekers in identifying their dream and pursuing it with ingenuity, passion, and determination. She believes her calling is to aid clients in finding fulfilling work that utilizes their unique talents. She has received three career-related certifications, and her experience includes seven years as a Career Coach, five years in the recruiting industry in both New York and Washington, DC, and a degree from New York University. Julie has made following her spouse around the world into a career, landing positions such as the Community Liaison Office Coordinator at the US Embassy in Rome, Italy.
One of Julie Mendez’s greatest rewards is receiving calls from excited clients when they are holding their offer letter, or when a job seeker feels the exhilaration of making contact with the “insiders” in a company who can help them land their dream job.
